12th Ordinary Session of the National and County Governments Coordinating Summit, held at State House.
H.E. President William Samoei Ruto chaired the 12th Ordinary Session of the National and County Governments Coordinating Summit, held at State House, Nairobi and coordinated by the Intergovernmental Relations Technical Committee (IGRTC).
In his address, the President commended the strong intergovernmental partnership between the National and County Governments, noting that this cooperation continues to strengthen devolution and bring essential services closer to the people. He affirmed that this collaboration has transformed counties into engines of inclusive growth and champions of responsive, people-centred service delivery.
President Ruto further applauded IGRTC for successfully completing the full delineation, unbundling, and gazettement of devolved functions, a major milestone that ensures clarity of roles, strengthens accountability, and guarantees that resources follow functions as envisioned in the Constitution.
The President urged all government institutions to move with urgency in implementing the Summit resolutions and to uphold the spirit of partnership that continues to drive Kenya’s devolution journey forward.
