Study Tour and Knowledge Exchange Program with the East African Community Secretariat.
The IGRTC team, led by Members John Burugu, Alice Mayaka, and John Kimwela, is currently in Arusha for a study tour and knowledge exchange program with the East African Community Secretariat.
IGRTC being the secretariat to the National and County Governments Coordinating Summit, sought to leverage on the experience of the EAC Secretariat to refine and strengthen it's processes.
This strategic engagement brings together officers from IGRTC, the Executive Office of the President, the Office of the Deputy President (State Department for Devolution), the Office of the Attorney General, the National Assembly, the Senate and the Kenya Law Reform Commission.
As Kenya advances in its 13th year of devolution, the delegation is benchmarking best practices in coordination, policy harmonization, legislative alignment and dispute resolution within regional governance systems.
The learning exchange also draws key parallels between the EAC Summit and Kenya’s National and County Governments Coordinating Summit unlocking insights to enhance implementation, accountability and cooperation.
